On a more serious note As Janet and Jeff both stated man was preordained to to lead as you read on in verse 17 the man is chastized for listeing to his wife. Adam did not step up and lead as he was designed The curse was not so much Eve’s punishment as it was their (Adam and Eve’s) punishment and ultimately that of mankind. I also believe that the Curse was more in reference to Mankind’s ongoing struggle with temptation God gave them everything but it did not satisfy their humaness God gives us Everything we need and yet as humans we struggle. Man is ordained by God to lead a huge responsibility While woman and men are spiritually equal I believe it is man’s role to lead his household and ulitmately I believe in Genesis 3:16 God was reinforcing that and repeating what he had already created a plan for.[]
